Frequently asked questions
Is this an official CET Cell website?+
No. It is an analysis tool from M B Patil Education built on the State CET Cell's official CAP cut-off lists. Option-form filling and seat allotment happen only on the CET Cell's CAP portal.
What does “Safe Bet” mean?+
Your merit number was inside the closing merit number in every comparable past year, with room to spare in the toughest year, and at least two years of history exist. It describes the past — it is not a guarantee and not a probability.
What are Home University and Other than Home University seats?+
Most Maharashtra seats are split by university. Home University seats go to candidates whose home university is the college's university; Other than Home University seats to everyone else. Choose your home university on the form so each seat is checked correctly.
I only know my percentile. Can I still use it?+
Yes. We estimate your merit number from published (merit number, percentile) pairs in the latest CAP cut-off lists and say clearly that it is an estimate. Use your official merit number once the merit list is out.
Which seats are covered?+
B.E./B.Tech Maharashtra State and Minority seats filled through CAP Rounds I–IV (2024–25 to 2026–27). All India (JEE Main) seats, institute-level seats and Diploma direct second-year admission are not covered yet.
How do I get help with choice filling?+
Build a shortlist in the Choice Planner and request counselling support. An M B Patil Education counsellor can review your list with you.
